peace

i recently watched the dvd "jimmy carter: man from plains" and was reminded of what one person can do to promote peace. he inspires me.

i doubt i'm ambitious enough to do something worthy of the nobel peace prize, but i'm so glad there are people out there who are.

dr. martin luther king, jr. was only 35 years old when he was given that award. i really like this quote from him: "Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

i look up to these men and hope to follow their example in whichever way i can. i hope this blog will make some small step toward a more peaceful world.
